Images by Sarah Morrill
About: Sarah is a destination wedding photographer, based bi-coastally in Portland, Maine + Seattle and she started Sarah Morrill Photography in 2009 because she wanted to meet new people, have amazing adventures, cultivate creative freedom, and continue to grow and challenge herself every day. Born and raised by the sea in Maine, her heart has always been with the ocean, the mountains, lakes, and forests. She can find her home in nature wherever she goes. She falls in love with people and places through listening and watching and believes that this is, without a doubt, what she is meant to do in our beautiful world. She picked up her first camera as a kid, is a visual artist and storyteller trained in Fine Art Photography at The Art Institute of Boston. Wedding photography has given her the incredible fortune to witness powerful and hopeful love, experience beautifully unique families, and to document their stories. She wants to hear about who you are, what you love, and where you are going. Her work has been featured in The Maine Magazine Wedding Issue, 100 Layer Cake, Brooklyn Bride, and DIY Bride, among others.
Images by Emily Delamater
About: Emily and Matt have been documenting love for nearly 10 years and have been lucky to have shot throughout New England, across the country and internationally. They live in the lovely little city of Portland, Maine with their sweet new daughter Rowan and their cat Dinah. When they are not shooting weddings they can often be found sitting on porches drinking good beer and eating modestly good tacos. They travel whenever they can, hang out in their garden, and snuggle on couches with books. They've shot all kinds of weddings – but feel like where they really shine is intimate weddings with lots of character. Often times when they get an email from a couple – they describe wanting their wedding to feel more like a big dinner party than a traditional wedding. They’ve chosen a place that means something to them and people who they love most to be there. If you found your way to them through the vastness of the interwebs – they’re so glad you are here – it means the world. Weddings are incredibly personal and intimate and they believe they should also be captured that way.
For them it’s pretty simple – they love what they do because their couples are fabulous. If you’re not afraid to get your shoes a little dirty, climb up on some rocks or through the woods and be real with each other and with them – they would love to hang out. Your love and your story is what inspires them most.
Images by Emilie Inc.
About: As a photojournalist and picture editor for USA Today and The Washington Post, Emilie flew aboard presidential airplanes, documented the first 24 hours of a new Miss America’s reign, and photographed the head of the CIA. The details of that last assignment are top secret, but, if you ask, she will gladly share what happened when she photographed Oprah. Emilie was first captivated by photography as the editor for her high school yearbook in Hollis, NH, and went on to earn a photojournalism degree at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University (go Orange!) where she was the photo editor for the daily newspaper. She learned about sports photographing from the sidelines and spent a semester studying with a National Geographic photographer in London (lucky me!). In 2001, her path completely shifted after photographing her cousin’s wedding in Maine. It was so inspiring and fulfilling to document such a momentous rite of passage (combined with the picturesque backdrop of seagulls and salty ocean air). She knew she had to open her own wedding photography studio and did, in 2003. Today, emilie inc. is her life’s work, a calling that blends her photojournalistic roots with her passion for entrepreneurialism.
